Chassis für IP-DSLAM
Der IES-1000 ist ein G.SHDSL- und/oder ADSL-Ethernet-Switch. Er eignet sich als IP-DSLAM für Service-Provider oder Broadband-Lösungen in Gebäudekomplexen. ZyXEL führt mit den P-791R und P-792H (beide G.SHDSL) und P-66x (ADSL, ADSL2+) die entsprechenden Endgeräte im Sortiment. Die Module der beiden Technologien können im Chassis gemischt verwendet werden. Mit G.SHDSL kann bei einer maximalen Reichweite von 7.5 km noch 192 Kbps symmetrischen Datenfluss über 2-Draht-Kupferleitungen erreicht werden. Bei 3.3 km sind bis 2.3 Mbps Datenfluss möglich.
